This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring PADS4 Viewer on Qbic TD-1060 devices running Android.
Before You Start
Supported Qbic TD-1060 Devices
The following Qbic TD-1060 device is supported:
- TD-1060 (Android 10)
Ensure your PADS4 Server is installed and configured before proceeding.
Minimum Requirements
PADS4 Server Version: 2022.3 or later
Firmware Version: Kernel 4.19.1111+ Build v2.0.1
Ensure your device firmware meets the minimum requirements before proceeding with installation.
First-Time Setup
When you turn on the Qbic TD-1060 for the first time, a configuration wizard will start.
If the configuration wizard does not start, perform a factory reset before continuing.
Performing a Factory Reset
Step One
Open Settings → Reset Options.
Step Two
Select Erase all data (Factory Reset).
Step Three
Press Erase all data to confirm.
Once completed, the device will restart and display the welcome screen.
Installing PADS4 Viewer
To install the PADS4 Viewer, access the Android menu on the device.
Step 1: Check Device Firmware
Step One
Open Settings.
Step Two
Navigate to About Device.
Step Three
Verify that the Build Number matches Kernel 4.19.1111+ Build v2.0.1.
If the firmware is outdated, contact Qbic for firmware updates.
Step 2: Install PADS4Qbic from USB Stick
Download PADS4Qbic APK:
Step One
Copy PADS4Qbic.apk to a USB stick.
Step Two
Insert the USB stick into the Qbic TD-1060.
Step Three
Open Android Settings → Player Settings.
Step Four
Enable Switch to Native Android Mode.
Step Five
Close Settings to access the Android Home Screen.
Step Six
Open Explorer App → Press USB Button → Select PADS4Qbic.apk.
Step Seven
Allow installation from Unknown Sources if prompted.
Step Eight
Confirm installation by pressing Install.
Do not open PADS4Qbic after installation.
Configuring the Qbic TD-1060 for PADS4Qbic
Step 1: Set PADS4 as the Default App
Step One
Open Android Settings → Player Settings.
Step Two
Disable Switch to Native Android Mode.
Step Three
Enable Kiosk Mode.
Step Four
Select Launched Activity or Webpage URL.
Step Five
Press Select Application → Choose PADS4Qbic.
Step Six
Press Set.

Connecting to the PADS4 Server
Step 1: Enter PADS4 Server Details
Step One
Open PADS4Qbic and specify the Server Address.
Step Two
(Optional) Specify a Viewer Name.
Step Three
Press Start.
If Chrome is missing, it will be downloaded automatically.
Adjusting PADS4 Viewer Settings
To access settings, hold the left mouse button for 3 seconds.
You can also configure settings remotely using:

PADS4 Agent
Updating PADS4 Viewer & PADS4Qbic App
After installation, updates will be applied automatically when the PADS4 Server is updated.
Accessing the Android Menu
To access the Android menu while PADS4 is running:
Press Home Button + Volume Down in sequence.
To prevent a reboot, first open PADS4Qbic settings.
