1. First-Time Use
Before installation, ensure that the PADS4 Server is set up and configured properly.The minimum PADS4 Server version required is 2023.1.
1.1 Resetting the Device
If the device was previously used, perform a factory reset to clear storage and prevent software conflicts.1

Open IAdea Basic Settings.

Click on Factory Default.

Click OK to confirm.
Factory resetting will erase all data. Please back up any important information before proceeding.
1.2 Checking Device Firmware
Ensure that the firmware is updated to at least 4.0.3 or higher before installing PADS4.1

Check the firmware version displayed on the right-hand side.
Required firmware version: WRP-1000 (Android 12) – Firmware 4.0.3 or higher.
1.3 Updating Firmware
If your firmware version is outdated, follow these steps to update:1

Click Firmware Update.

Click Check Latest Firmware from Internet.

If an update is available, select Update from Internet.
Firmware updates may take some time to complete.
1.4 Setting Date & Time Configuration
Incorrect date/time settings may cause certificate errors and connection issues.1

Open IAdea Basic Settings.

Adjust the Date & Time settings if necessary.

Click the Back button to save changes.
2. Installing PADS4 Viewer
Follow the steps below to install and configure PADS4 Viewer on the IAdea WRP-1000 v2 (Android 12).2.1 Downloading PADS4 Viewer
The PADS4IAdea.apk file can be downloaded from:-
PADS4 Server:
(Replace [yourPADS4Server] with your server’s IP or domain name. The default domain is PADS4.) - Github: Download the latest version from here.
If you download the latest version, ensure that you also place it in the PADS4 Server apps directory, as the device will install the version available on the server.
2.2 Installing PADS4 Viewer
Accessing the Android Home Screen

Tap three times on the lower right corner of the screen.

The Android Home Screen will now be accessible.
Installation Steps

Copy the PADS4IAdea.apk onto a USB stick.

Insert the USB stick into the IAdea WRP-1000 v2 device.

Open the Files app on the device.

Click on USB Disk.

Select PADS4IAdea.apk and click Continue in the dialog that appears.

Click Install when prompted.

Wait for installation to complete and click Done.
2.3 Setting PADS4 Viewer to Start Automatically
