This manual provides step-by-step instructions for configuring the ProDVX APPC S-series device and installing the PADS4 Viewer. It covers initial setup, APK installation, autostart configuration, and viewer setup. Compatible Devices:

Initial Device Configuration

Power on the ProDVX APPC 10SFA device to begin setup.
  • On the Welcome screen, agree to the Terms and Conditions, then click Start​
  • (Optional) Enable or disable ProMGR and click Continue.
  • Enable the PRODVX API, as PADS4 relies on it for proper operation, then click Continue.​
  • Disable AutoStart and click Continue.
  • Set screen timeout to Never and click Continue.
  • Click Reboot Device to apply changes.

Installing PADS4 Viewer APK

Download the latest PADS4ProDVXv2.apk from your PADS4 server (e.g., https://[your-server]/[domain]/apps) or official sources, and copy it to a USB stick.
  1. Insert the USB drive into the ProDVX device.
  2. Open the Files app and select the USB drive.
  3. Tap PADS4ProDVXv2.apk.
  4. Click Continue on the warning prompt.
  5. Click Install to proceed.
  6. Once complete, click Done.

Setting Up Autostart

Launch the AutoStart app from the App Drawer after installation. Click Start App, select PADS4ProDVXv2, then close AutoStart and reboot the device. This ensures the PADS4 Viewer launches automatically on boot.

Configuring PADS4 Viewer

After reboot, the PADS4 Viewer opens. Enter your PADS4 server address in the formathttps://<host>:<port>/<domain>/
  • Optionally, enter a custom viewer name.
  • Click Start to connect
Wait for connection; a green LED and viewer name indicate success.
