1. First-Time Use
Before installation, it is recommended to complete the setup of the PADS4 Server.The minimum PADS4 Server version required is PADS4 Foundation 2023.1.
1.1 Resetting the Device
If the device was previously used, perform a factory reset to clear storage and prevent software conflicts.1
Step One
Open the home screen of the device.

Open the Settings app.

Click System in the Settings menu.

Scroll down and select Restore to Factory Settings.

Click Confirm in the dialog that appears.
1.2 Updating Firmware
Ensure the firmware is updated to at least V1.7.1 build 20230424 before installing PADS4.1
Step One
Copy the update.zip firmware file to the root directory of a USB stick.

Step Two
Insert the USB stick into the device.

Step Three
The device should detect the USB firmware update and prompt for installation.

Step Four
Follow the on-screen instructions to install the firmware update.
2. Installing PADS4 Viewer
Follow the steps below to install and configure PADS4 Viewer on the Hikvision DS-D60C-B.2.1 Installing PADS4 from USB Stick
The PADS4Hikvision.apk file is available on the PADS4 Server in:Installation Steps

Step One
Copy the PADS4Hikvision.apk file onto a USB stick.

Step Two
Insert the USB stick into the Hikvision DS-D60C-B device.

Open the home screen of the device.

Open the FileBrowser app.

Select USB DISK from the list.

Step Six
Click on PADS4Hikvision.apk.

Step Seven
When prompted with “Do you want to install this application?”, click Install.

Step Eight
Once installed, click Open to launch the PADS4 Hikvision app.
2.2 Connecting to PADS4 Server
PADS4 Server Address Format:- Protocol:
httporhttps(depends on SSL certificate). - Host: DNS name or IP address of PADS4 Server.
- Port: (Optional - specify only if using non-default ports).
- Host Path: Configured in System Management
(default: PADS4).
Connection Steps

Enter the PADS4 Server Location.

Step Two - *Optional*
Specify a Viewer Name (if left blank, PADS4 will generate one).

Step Three
Press Start.

Step Four
Grant permission to access photos, media, and files when prompted.

The PADS4 Viewer will be downloaded and installed.
2.3 Adjusting PADS4 Viewer Settings
- Press and hold the left mouse button or touch the screen for 3 seconds to access Viewer Settings.
