Before You Start
Supported Samsung EMDX Series Devices
The following Samsung EMDX Series Color E-Paper device is supported:- EMDX-076D
Minimum Requirements

When you turn on the Samsung EMDX for the first time, a configuration wizard will start. If the configuration wizard does not start, perform a factory reset before continuing.Performing a Factory Reset

Step One
Reset the device by holding the PAIRING and MODE keys for ~5 seconds, which are located on the back of the display.This process will take ~10 seconds to complete.

Afterwards, press the power button again, which will boot the display.

The device should now be reset and show new QR codes that can be scanned.
Installing mobile application
Currently, you will need to use a mobile application to use the display, since this display does not support interactivity through other mediums. To download the latest version from the app store, scan the QR code on the display.
Set up the display
Once you have the mobile application, you can set up the display. Before you start, make sure you enable Bluetooth and Location on your mobile phone (Location can be disabled at the end of this process).

Start the mobile application of Samsung on your mobile device.

Accept the required permissions.

Step Three
Scan the QR code that is currently being displayed at the bottom of the screen.

Accept the request to connect the display via Bluetooth.

Step Five
To set up the Wi-Fi connection on the display, you need to choose a connection that your mobile phone is also connected to (requires Location).
Make sure you choose a connection that**_DOESN’T _** require account credentials (only Wi-Fi password allowed)

Step Six
Accept the privacy agreement and choose “Manual Setup”

Step Seven
Define a device pin and set the device orientation to landscape.

Step Eight
Configure sleep mode to off.

Step Nine
Turn off network standby and set device date & time to automatic.

Step Ten
Set the daily refresher timer and set the content player to custom.

Step Eleven
Now define a name for the device, and it will then show up under devices in the application.
Installing PADS4 Viewer
To install the PADS4 Viewer application, you need to define the server URL where the application is hosted. This works like other Samsung displays, but instead of doing it on the display directly, you need the mobile application.

Start the mobile application of Samsung

Select the display you want to use

Under “Player type” at the bottom of the screen, make sure it is on “CustomApp”

Specify your PADS4 Server URL:
Ensure “PADS4” is in CAPITAL letters, or the connection will fail due to case sensitivity.

Click on “Install”

The display will now shhow the PADS4 logo after a minute with the viewer name and connection status and the bottom left of the screen.
Adjusting PADS4 Viewer Settings
Due to the refresh rate of ~30 seconds, this is not supported directly on the panel itself.Supported Features & Limitations
