This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the PADS4 Web Launcher on Hikvision DS-D60xxUN-DL Android displays. It covers initial setup, APK installation, autostart configuration, and viewer setup.

Prerequisites

Download the latest PADS4WebLauncher.apk from your PADS4 server (e.g., https://[your-server]/[domain]/apps) or from here, and copy it to a USB stick. Ensure the PADS4 Server is set up and accessible.

Installing PADS4 Viewer

  1. Power on the screen and access the installed applications menu.
  2. Insert the USB stick into the screen.
  3. Select FileBrowser.
  4. Navigate to the USB drive and select PADS4WebLauncher.apk.
  5. Click Continue on the warning prompt.
  6. Click Install and wait for completion.
  7. Select Done, then close FileBrowser

Enabling Auto-Start

  1. Go to Settings on the screen.
  2. Navigate to App Management.
  3. Select Run at startup .
  4. Enable Run at start-up.
  5. Select PADS4 Web Launcher from the list.
  6. Restart the screen to apply changes.

Configuring Connection

  1. Launch the PADS4 Web Launcher.
  2. Enter the Server URL in the format <protocol>://<host>:<port>/<hostpath>/
  3. Fill in the ViewerName as required.
  4. Click Start to connect.
    The PADS4 viewer is now connected and ready for use.
