Connecting to Genesys
The Genesys provider in PADS4 allows you to connect to a Genesys WSDL web service to retrieve data for real-time digital signage integration.
Steps to Add/Modify a Genesys Connection in PADS4
1. Start the Data Provider Wizard
- Open the Data Provider Wizard using the steps in Adding a Data Provider or Editing a Data Provider.
- Select Genesys as the provider type.
2. Configure the Genesys Connection
- Enter the Genesys Server URL (e.g.,
https://yourgenesysserver.com/wsdl
). - Authentication (if required):
- Enter the username and password if the Genesys web service requires login credentials.
- Proxy Settings (if needed):
- Configure a proxy server if your network setup requires it.
Click Next to proceed.
3. Configure Genesys Service Settings
- Review service settings based on your Genesys documentation.
- Select the relevant data endpoints to retrieve information.
Click Next to continue.
4. Complete the Wizard
- Click Finish to finalize the Genesys connection.
- The PADS4 Viewer will now retrieve real-time data from the Genesys web service.
Important Considerations
- Ensure Correct Authentication:
- If credentials are required, make sure you have the correct access rights for the Genesys API.
- PADS4 Data Server Access:
- If using a PADS4 Data Server, the Genesys service must be accessible from the server’s location.
- If not using a Data Server, ensure that each PADS4 Designer and Viewer has internet access to the Genesys web service.
- Follow Genesys API Documentation:
- Some data fields may require custom query parameters or specific API calls.
- Refer to Genesys documentation for detailed integration instructions.
