Provider connection settings
Connecting a Newmarket Delphi feed
The Newmarket Delphi provider in PADS4 allows you to connect to Delphi hospitality feeds to retrieve information related to locations, bookings, and room functions.
Steps to Add or Modify a Newmarket Delphi Feed Connection
1. Start the Data Provider Wizard
- Open PADS4 and go to the Data Provider Wizard.
- Select Newmarket Delphi Feed as the provider type.
- Click Next to continue.
2. Select the Server Version
- Choose the server version:
- Older versions require different credentials.
- Newer versions may offer improved performance and security.
3. Authenticate with Newmarket Delphi
- Enter the Delphi NWS (Newmarket Web Services) credentials.
- Click Connect (if credentials are saved, the system may connect automatically).
4. Choose the Data Type to Retrieve

Get Location
- Select the Location ID from the dropdown list.

Booking Events
- Select the Location ID.
- Define the time period (From/Until).
- Enable Only show posted events (optional).
- Enable Include location data (adds location-related columns).
- Enable Include room data (adds room-related columns, may impact performance).

Room Functions / Room Group Functions
- Select one or more Locations.
- Check External ID if using external Location IDs.
- Enable Include location data (adds location-related columns, may impact performance).
5. Configure Older Delphi Feed Settings (Version 9.6 and Earlier)
- Enter the Delphi Service URL (e.g., http://your-ip-address/MeetingSpaceServices/Request.asmx).
- Enter the Property Key (building ID number).
- Provide a Username (Vendor System) and Password (License Key).
- Choose between:
- Get Room Characteristics (retrieves room details: name, floor, description, etc.).
- Get Room Information (retrieves room availability details).
- Include Characteristics (matches room details automatically).
6. Apply Optional Filters
- Event Key – Filter by event name.
- Room Group – Filter by room group (case-sensitive).
- Exhibit – Filter rooms with scheduled exhibitions.
- Postable – Filter based on postable status.
- Alternate Language – Select an alternative language template.
7. Define the Date/Time Range for Data Retrieval
- Today – Retrieves data for the current day.
- Optionally, set an offset in days.
- Now – Retrieves current data.
- Optionally, specify an offset before or after the current time.
- Date and Time – Define a fixed period.
- Predefined – Select Week, Next Week, or Month.
Click Next to continue.
8. Complete the Setup
- Review the connection settings.
- Click Finish to save the data provider.
Important Notes
- Performance Considerations:
- Enabling Include Room Data may slow performance due to additional processing.
- Older Delphi versions require manual entry of service URLs.
- Security & Authentication:
- Ensure Delphi credentials are correct for seamless integration.
- Customization:
- Use filters to limit data retrieval, preventing large memory loads.
This setup ensures PADS4 can efficiently retrieve real-time hospitality data, making it useful for event management, room scheduling, and operational insights.
