Scrolling text elements create dynamic ticker tapes that continuously scroll across the screen. They can display static messages or real-time data from an external data source.

Properties Overview

Background Color

  • Sets the background color of the scrolling text.
  • Can be a fixed color, gradient, texture, or pattern.

Border

  • Defines the border color and thickness around the scrolling text.

Data Provider

  • Connects the scrolling text to an external data source for real-time updates.

Data Scrolling

  • Specifies whether and how the text will scroll through live data.

Flip

  • Allows horizontal or vertical flipping of the text.

Font

  • Sets the font style, size, and color of the scrolling text.

Identification

  • Assigns a unique name to the element within the page.

Play List

  • Defines the text items that will be displayed by the element.

Play List Options

  • Determines how the text items in the play list will be played.

Play List Separator

  • Specifies the separator that appears between scrolling text items.

Position

  • Sets the exact position (X, Y coordinates) of the scrolling text element.

Proof of Play

  • Enables logging to verify when and where the scrolling text was displayed.

Property Bindings

  • Allows certain properties to be controlled by an external data source.

Reflection

  • Applies a reflection effect to the scrolling text.

Rotation

  • Rotates the scrolling text to a specific angle.

Rules

  • Automates actions based on predefined conditions.

Rules in Scrolling Text Elements

Rules apply in two ways:
  1. Separate Scroll Item – Controls individual text font, color, and separator.
  2. Scrolling Text Element – Applies borders, shadows, and effects to the full scrolling text box.

Scroll Direction & Speed

  • Sets scrolling direction (left, right, up, down) and speed.

Scroll Options

  • Configures how text will scroll, including pause behavior and looping.

Size

  • Defines the width and height of the element.

Skew

  • Angles the scrolling text for a distorted effect.

Text Alignment

  • Sets horizontal and vertical alignment within the element.

Visibility

  • Determines if the element will be visible during playback.
