# Removing a master page

If your presentation contains a **master page** but it's **no longer used** by any of the pages, it is recommended to **remove** it to keep the presentation organized.

## To Remove the Existing Master Page from Your Presentation

1. **Switch to the Master Page**:
   * Go to the **View menu** and select **Master Page**.

2. **Remove the Master Page**:
   * Go to the **Page menu** and click **Remove Page**.
   * Confirm the removal by clicking **Yes** when prompted.

## Alternative Method

* **Right-click** the **thumbnail of the master page** in the **Thumbnails window**.
* Select **Remove Master Page** from the context menu.
* Confirm the removal by clicking **Yes** when prompted.
