# Labels properties

The **Labels properties** in the **Data Series Wizard** define how **data item labels** are displayed in your chart, including **visibility, style, content, and positioning**.

## **Labels**

| **Property**              | **Description**                                                              |
| ------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Show Datapoint Labels** | **Enable/disable** the display of labels for the data points in your series. |

## **Style**

| **Property**         | **Description**                                                                                            |
| -------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Font**             | Displays the **current font and style** of the labels. Click the button next to the text box to adjust it. |
| **Label Color**      | Choose the color of the label text. Options include **fixed colors, gradients, textures, and patterns**.   |
| **Background Color** | Choose the **background color** behind the label text. Supports solid colors, gradients, patterns, etc.    |

## **Position**

| **Property**       | **Description**                                                                                                 |
| ------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Position**       | Select how labels are positioned within the chart. Use **Automatic** to let the system decide the optimal spot. |
| **Label Interval** | Set the interval (in pixels) between two consecutive labels.                                                    |

## **Content**

| **Property**     | **Description**                                                                                |

| **Content**      | Choose whether to display only **labels** or **labels and values** together.                   |
| **Value Format** | If values are included, choose a **format** to display these values (e.g., currency, decimal). |
| **Label Format** | Choose a **format** for the label text (e.g., plain, custom string formatting).                |

## **Border**

| **Property**          | **Description**                                                                                    |
| --------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Show Label Border** | **Enable/disable** a border around the labels.                                                     |
| **Width**             | Set the **thickness (in pixels)** of the label border.                                             |
| **Border Color**      | Choose a color for the label border. Supports **fixed colors, gradients, textures, and patterns**. |

## **Remarks**

* Labels can be fully customized to match your **design and branding needs**, including **fonts, colors, backgrounds, and borders**.
* The **Label Interval** controls the **density of labels**, which can be useful for charts with many data points.
* If **values are displayed**, formatting options ensure that numerical data is presented clearly (e.g., as percentages, currency).
* Label positioning can be left to **automatic adjustment**, ensuring the chart remains readable without manual fine-tuning.
