# Mobotix

This guide explains how to connect **Mobotix cameras** with **PADS4** to retrieve real-time audience measurement data. For more information on Mobotix cameras, visit: [www.Mobotix.com](https://www.mobotix.com).

## **Step 1: Configuring the Mobotix M7 Device**

To ensure proper integration, event profiles in the Mobotix camera must be set up to match the **AIFacedetect App**.

### **Accessing Camera Settings**

1. **Log in** to the Mobotix camera.
2. Navigate to **Setup Menu > Event Control > Event Overview > Message Events**.

### **Check and Apply the Following Event Properties**

| **Property**           | **Value**           |
| ---------------------- | ------------------- |
| Event sensor type      | **MxMessageSystem** |
| Message name           | **AIFacedetect**    |
| Message range          | **Local**           |
| Filter message content | **No Filter**       |

## **Step 2: Configuring the AIFacedetect App**

To enable **facial detection** for masked and unmasked faces:

1. **Navigate to:**\
   **Setup Menu > Certified App Settings > AIFacedetect Settings > Configurator**.
2. Apply the following settings:

| --------------------- | ----------------- |
| Detection algorithm   | **Deep**          |
| Detect unmasked faces | **Enable**        |
| Detect masked faces   | **Enable**        |
| Event management      | **Event on exit** |

3. **Click "Set"** to save the settings.

## **Step 3: Configuring the Mobotix Connection in PADS4**

1. **Open PADS4 CTRL Center**.
2. **Navigate to Sensors** (If the **Sensors** category is not visible, you may need an **IOT module license**. Contact your PADS4 partner for assistance).
3. Click **New Camera Software** and select **Mobotix**.
4. **Enter the following details**:
   * **Name**: A descriptive name for this sensor.
   * **Hostname/IP Address**: The IP address of the Mobotix camera.
   * **Port**: The port used by the camera.
5. **Save the configuration**.

Once completed, **PADS4 will connect to the Mobotix camera** and begin **receiving audience data**.

* **Event Handling**: The configured events will trigger **real-time incident creation** in PADS4.
