# Tizen 5.0 SSSP7

This guide provides **step-by-step instructions** for installing and configuring **PADS4 Viewer** on **Samsung Tizen 5.0 (SSSP7)** devices.

## **Before You Start**

### **Supported Samsung Tizen 5.0 Devices**

The following **Samsung SSSP7 (Tizen 5.0)** device is supported:

* **SSSP7 (Tizen 5.0)**

**Ensure your PADS4 Server is installed and configured before proceeding.**

## **Minimum Requirements**

**PADS4 Server Version:** **2023.1 or later**\
**Firmware Version:** **1280.3 or later**

**Ensure your device firmware meets the minimum requirements before proceeding with installation.**

## **First-Time Setup**

When you **turn on** the Samsung SSSP7 for the first time, a **configuration wizard** will start.

**If the configuration wizard does not start, perform a factory reset before continuing.**

## **Performing a Factory Reset**

<Steps>

    Turn the **screen off**.

    On the remote control, press:\
    `Mute + 1 + 8 + 2 + ON`
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Three">
    Navigate to **Option** → Select **Factory Reset**.

**The device will restart and display the welcome screen.**

## **Uninstalling an App (If Required)**

**If you cannot access the device menu, uninstall the existing app first.**

    Select **Uninstall**.

## **Installing PADS4 Viewer**

### **Step 1: Run the Setup Wizard**

<Steps>

    Select **Language** and press **Next**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Two">
    Choose **Landscape** as the display orientation.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Three">
    Disable **Auto Power Off**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Four">
    Connect to your **network** under **Network Settings**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Five">
    Set the **Current Date & Time**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Six">
    Under **Play via**, select **URL Launcher**.
  </Step>

**Specify your PADS4 Server URL:**

```
http://<server>/PADS4/apps/tizen  
https://<server>/PADS4/apps/tizen  
```

**Replace `<server>`** with the **IP address** or **domain name** of your **PADS4 Server**.\
**Ensure "PADS4" is in CAPITAL letters, or the connection will fail due to case sensitivity.**

    (Optional) Assign a **Device Name**.

    Complete the **Setup Wizard**.
  </Step>

    In **Home Menu**, select **URL Launcher** to start the Viewer.

**To manually start the wizard:**

* Change input to **HDMI**, then press **Menu** on the remote control and navigate to **System → Setup**.

**Once configured, the PADS4 HTML5 Viewer will download and start automatically.**

## **Checking Device Firmware**

**Ensure your Samsung SSSP7 firmware is up to date before running PADS4.**

    Open **More Options**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Three">
    Navigate to **Support** → **Contact Samsung**.

    Verify that the **Software Version** is **1280.3 or later**.

## **Updating Firmware**

    Insert a **USB Stick** with the latest firmware.

    Press **Menu** on the remote control.
  </Step>

    Navigate to **Support** → **Software Update**.
  </Step>

    Select **Update Now** and follow the on-screen instructions.

## **Adjusting PADS4 Viewer Settings**

**To access viewer settings:** Hold the **left mouse button** or **touch the screen** for **3 seconds**.

## **Enabling 4K Video Mode**

**Enable Ultra HD/4K via PADS4 CTRL Center:**

    Go to **Viewers** → Select your **Samsung Tizen Viewer**.
  </Step>

  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Four">
    Click the **Settings Cogwheel** to open **Screen Settings**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Five">
    Open the **Style Tab** and enable **Ultra HD/4K Mode**.
  </Step>

**Available on Tizen 3.0+ with PADS4 2022.3+**\
**You can play only ONE 4K video per page.**

## **Supported Features & Limitations**

### **General Features**

|    ✅    | **Offline Mode** – Plays scheduled content for **7 days** while offline. |

|    ✅    | **Portrait Mode** – Set rotation to **270°** in Viewer Settings. Do **NOT** use SSP rotate. |
|    ✅    | **Cluster Viewer** – Can be used in a **cluster setup**.                                    |
|    ✅    | **Block Remote Control** – Prevent unauthorized screen control.                             |
|    ✅    | **Wake on LAN** – Supported.                                                                |
|    ❌    | **Turn Off Display** – Not supported.                                                       |

### **Video & Content Support**
