# APPC series RK3288 (Android 9)

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for **installing and configuring PADS4 Viewer** on **ProDVX APPC-Series (RK3288) devices** running **Android 9**.

## **Before You Start**

### **Supported ProDVX APPC-Series Devices**

The following **ProDVX APPC-Series (RK3288)** devices are supported:

* **APPC-7XPL**
* **APPC-7XPLN**
* **APPC-10X**
* **APPC-10XP**
* **APPC-10XPL**
* **APPC-10XPLN**
* **APPC-10SLB** (Requires **10X Firmware**)
* **APPC-10SLBN**
* **APPC-15XP**
* **APPC-22X**
* **APPC-22XP**
* **APPC-24**
* **APPC-27X**
* **APPC-32**

### Minimum PADS4 requirements

* **PADS4 Server:** 2024.2 or later
* **Android:** 9

  Firmware updates can be requested from your ProDVX dealer.

## Reset the device (recommended)

If the device was used before, perform a **factory reset** to clear storage and avoid software conflicts.

1. Open **Android Settings**.
2. Go to **System > Reset options**.
3. Select **Erase all data (factory reset)**.
4. Select **Reset tablet**, then confirm with **Erase everything**.
5. Wait for the device to restart automatically.

  Network settings are disabled by default on new devices. Before installing, open **Android Settings** and enable **Wi-Fi** or **Ethernet**.

## Install the PADS4 Viewer

### Step 1: Download and transfer the APK

Download the APK from either location:

* **PADS4 Server directory:** `C:\Program Files\PADS4\Clients\Apps`
* **Official download:** [PADS4ProDVX APK on GitHub](https://github.com/PADS4/PADS4-Viewer-ProDVX-x-series/releases/latest)

Then transfer it to the device:

1. Copy **PADS4ProDVXv2.apk** to a USB stick.
2. Insert the USB stick into the ProDVX APPC-Series device.

1. Open the **APK Installer** app on the device. Allow access to external storage if prompted.
2. Select **Install** and browse the USB stick for **PADS4ProDVX.apk**.
3. Select the APK file to start installation.
4. If prompted, enable **Allow install from unknown sources**, then retry the installation.
5. Select **Install**, and choose **Open** when the installation completes.
