# WRP 1000

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for **installing and configuring PADS4 Viewer** on the **IAdea WRP-1000 (Android 9)** device.

## **1. First-Time Use**

Before installation, ensure that the **PADS4 Server is set up and configured properly**.

  The minimum **PADS4 Server version** required is **PADS4 Foundation 2023.1**.
</Note>

### **1.1 Resetting the Device**

If the device was used previously, perform a **factory reset** to clear storage and prevent software conflicts.

    Open **IAdea Basic Settings**.

    Click on **Advanced**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Three">
    Select **System → Factory Default**.
  </Step>

    Click **OK** to confirm the factory reset.
  </Step>

After resetting, the **Basic Settings screen** will appear.

### **1.2 Checking Device Firmware**

To ensure full **PADS4 Viewer compatibility**, verify that the device is running firmware version **3.4.1 or higher**.

### **1.3 Updating Firmware**

If the firmware is outdated, update it by following these steps:

    Click on **Advanced**.

    Select **System → Firmware Update**.

    If a new firmware version is available, select **Update from Internet**.

## **2. Installing PADS4 Viewer**

Follow the steps below to install and configure **PADS4 Viewer on the IAdea WRP-1000**.

### **2.1 Installing PADS4IAdea from USB Stick**

The **PADS4IAdea.apk** file is available on the **PADS4 Server** at:

https://[yourPADS4Server]/[domain]/apps  
```

Alternatively, download the latest version from [**here**](https://github.com/PADS4/PADS4-Viewer-IAdea/releases/latest) and place it in the **PADS4 Server apps directory**.

#### **Installation Steps**

    Copy the **PADS4IAdea.apk** onto a **USB stick**.

    Insert the **USB stick** into the **IAdea WRP-1000** device.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Three">
    Open **IAdea Basic Settings**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Four">
    Click on **Advanced**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Five">
    Click **three times** in the **lower right corner** of the **Advanced menu** to access Android.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Six">
    The **Android Home Screen** will now be visible.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Seven">
    Open the **Files app**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Eight">
    Select **USB Disk** and click on **PADS4IAdea.apk**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Nine">
    Click **CONTINUE** in the confirmation dialog.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Ten">
    Click **INSTALL** when prompted.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Eleven">
    Once installed, click **DONE**.

## **3. Configuring PADS4 Viewer**

### **3.1 Setting Automatic Start**

    Open **IAdea Basic Settings**.

    Click on **Advanced**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Three">
    Select **Content → AppStart**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Four">
    Click **(+)Advanced**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Five">
    In **Package Name**, enter:

    com.pads4.viewer.iadea  
    ```
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Six">
    Click **Set** to save the setting.
  </Step>

### **3.2 Connecting to PADS4 Server**

**PADS4 Server Address Format:**

```
protocol://host:port/hostpath/  
```

* **Protocol:** `http` or `https` (depends on SSL certificate).
* **Host:** DNS name or **IP address** of **PADS4 Server**.
* **Port:** *(Optional - specify only if using non-default ports).*
* **Host Path:** Configured in **System Management** *`(default: PADS4)`*.

#### **Connection Steps**

    Enter the **PADS4 Server Location**.

    Specify a **Viewer Name** (if left blank, PADS4 will generate one).
  </Step>

    Press **Start**.

  <Step title="Step Four">
    Grant **permission to access media and files** when prompted.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Five">
    The **PADS4 Viewer** will be **downloaded and installed**.
  </Step>

## **4. Updating PADS4 Viewer**

The **PADS4 Viewer** will **automatically update** when the **PADS4 Server** is updated.
