# I Series 2

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for **installing and configuring PADS4 Viewer** on **ELO I-Series 2** devices.

## **1. Configuring the ELO I-Series 2**

This page explains how to configure the **SOC player** to run the **PADS4 HTML5 Viewer**.

### **1.1 Welcome Screen**

When you turn on the device for the first time, it will automatically display the **Welcome Screen**.

* **Press the OK button twice** to proceed.

## **2. Installing the PADS4 HTML5 Viewer Android Launcher**

**PADS4 requires an Android Launcher to be installed.**

**Download the latest PADS4 HTML5 Launcher APK**:\

### **Installation Steps**

<Steps>
  <Step title="Step One">
    Copy the **PADS HTML5 Launcher APK** to a **USB stick**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Two">
    Insert the **USB stick** into the device.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Three">
    On the device, open the **Apk Installer app**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Four">
    Select **Install** and browse the **USB storage** for the **APK file**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Five">
    When prompted with **"Do you want to install this application?"**, press **Next** until the **Install** button appears.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Six">
    Press **Install** to complete the installation.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Seven">
    After installation, press **Open**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Eight">
    The **PADS4 HTML5 Launcher app** will start. Enter the **PADS4 Server location**, specifying:

    * **Domain name**, **IP address**, or **PC name** of the **PADS4 Server**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Nine - *Optional*">
    If **default server settings** were changed, open **Advanced Settings** to enter:

    * The **correct port number**.
    * The **host/root path**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Ten">
    Press **Start**.

    * The first time the app runs, it will prompt you to **select your Home App**.
    * Select **PADS4 HTML5 Launcher** and **choose Always**.
  </Step>

**Upon completion:**

* The **launcher will download the PADS4 HTML5 Viewer software** and start automatically.
* A **connection indicator icon** will appear at the **bottom-left corner** of the screen.
  * **Green**: Valid connection.
  * **Red**: Connection issue (check logs in **Viewer Settings**).

<Warning>
  A **valid server connection** is required during **first-time setup** to download the **PADS4 HTML5 Viewer software**.

## **3. Upgrading the PADS4 Launcher from a USB Stick**

To update the **PADS4 Launcher**, follow these steps:

    Insert the **USB stick** into the device.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Three">
    Open **PADS4 Viewer Settings**.

  <Step title="Step Four">
    Select **Launcher Settings** from the menu.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Five">
    Click the **folder icon** in the **bottom-right corner**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Six">
    Navigate to the **USB storage** folder and select the new **APK file**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Seven">
    When prompted with **"Do you want to install an update to this existing application?"**, press **Install**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Eight">
    After installation, the **PADS4 HTML5 Launcher** will **automatically start**.
  </Step>

## **4. Adjusting PADS4 Viewer Options**

**On-Device Configuration**

* **Press and hold the left mouse button** until the **menu appears**.

**Remote Configuration**

* Settings can also be changed using **PADS4 CTRL Center** or **PADS4 Agent**.

## **5. Accessing the Android Settings Menu**

To open the **Android Settings Menu**:

    Click **Launcher Settings**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Three">
    Click the **gear icon** in the **bottom-right corner**.
  </Step>

<Warning>If **"Hide Status Bar"** is enabled, the only way to exit Android Settings is to **restart the device** by disconnecting power.</Warning>

## **6. Disabling the Android Navigation Bar**

To prevent access to the **Android Navigation Bar**:

    Open **Viewer Options**.

    Click **Launcher Settings**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Three">
    Click the **gear icon** in the **bottom-right corner**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Four">
    Select **System Tools**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Five">
    Click **Disable Navigation Bar**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Warning>After disabling, the **only way to exit** is to **restart the device** by disconnecting power.</Warning>

## **7. Performing a Factory Reset**

To reset the device:

    Select **Backup & Reset**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Three">
    Choose **Factory Data Reset**.
  </Step>

    Select **Erase SD Card**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Five">
    Tap **Reset Tablet**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Six">
    Confirm with **Erase Everything**.
  </Step>

## **8. Supported Features & Limitations**
